Softball Recap: Lawrence Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lawrence can now relate to. They came up short against the Old Town Coyotes on Wednesday, falling 9-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

The defeat snapped Lawrence's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-6 record. As for Old Town, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.

Lawrence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Old Town, they will square off against Belfast on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Coyotes 2.5, the Lions 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
