Baseball Recap: Highland Prep West Comes Up Short

Highland Prep West came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 21-4 to the Heritage Academy Heroes.

Highland Prep West saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Blanco, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. James Whitehead also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Even though they lost, Highland Prep West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland Prep West will head out to challenge Mountainside at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Heritage Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Tempe Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
