Football Recap: Connetquot Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Connetquot was not quite Northport's equal in the second half on Saturday. They took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. If the T-Birds were looking for revenge after losing 31-28 to the Tigers when the teams met back in November of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northport had a senior duo take command as Simon Blissett threw for 204 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 19 passes and Greyson Cabrera gained 118 total yards and two touchdowns.

Connetquot now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Northport, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Connetquot will square off against Half Hollow Hills East at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northport, they will challenge Deer Park at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
