Oregon City had to endure  a  three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with  a   6-1  victory over the Sheldon Irish  on Tuesday. For the Pioneers, this counts as revenge for the   1-0 win the Irish walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in June of 2023.
 Piper Berrington spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  a single  walk in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Allie Oliver was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with two  doubles and one  RBI. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Brynnley Thronson, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
 Oregon City was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheldon only posted a  batting average of  .259.
Oregon City's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Sheldon, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 3-1.
 Coming up, Oregon City will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on McMinnville  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Sheldon, they will hit the road for the first time this season to  face off against  Grants Pass  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The  match will  give Sheldon their first taste of in-conference action this season.
