Baseball Game Preview: Hermitage Hermits vs. Taylor Tigers

Hermitage hasn't had much luck against Taylor recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hermits will be playing at home against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m.

Hermitage is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bradley. That's two games in a row now that the Hermits have lost by exactly three runs.

Meanwhile, Taylor had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Crusaders as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Taylor pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hermitage, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
