Basketball Game Preview: Dighton-Rehoboth Regional Falcons vs. Apponequet Regional Lakers

The Dighton-Rehoboth Regional Falcons will face off against the Apponequet Regional Lakers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Dighton-Rehoboth Regional came up short against Somerset Berkley Regional and fell 49-42. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Apponequet Regional fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Bridgewater-Raynham on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 57-49 to the Trojans. That makes it the first time this season the Lakers have let down their home crowd.

Dighton-Rehoboth Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Apponequet Regional, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2.

Dighton-Rehoboth Regional was dealt a bruising 60-31 defeat at the hands of Apponequet Regional in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Dighton-Rehoboth Regional avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
