Volleyball Recap: Twin Rivers Takes a Loss

Twin Rivers entered their contest against Malden on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Royals lost 3-0 to the Green Wave. The Royals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Green Wave from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Twin Rivers was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 25-23.

Twin Rivers' loss dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Malden, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-3 record this season.

Twin Rivers will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Caruthersville at 5:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Malden, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Oran on the 22nd.
