Soccer Game Preview: Staunton vs. Jersey

Staunton hasn't had much luck against Jersey recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Staunton's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Southwestern, sneaking past 1-0. Staunton haven't had any issues with Southwestern recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Staunton's one-goal win came courtesy of Peyton Luketich, who's now up to nine this season.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Jersey's offense. They lost 7-0 to Carlinville on Monday.

Staunton's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Jersey, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
