Soccer Game Preview: Benedictine vs. Bishop O'Connell + Official Tickets

The Benedictine Cadets are taking a road trip to square off against the Bishop O'Connell Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Benedictine will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Benedictine is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Catholic 3-0. Benedictine might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Catholic with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Harrison Efford, Gavin Team, and Price Draucker.

Meanwhile, while it was Bishop O'Connell who put the first goals on the board on Tuesday, it was Gonzaga who put up more. The Knights took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Bishop O'Connell have struggled against Gonzaga recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Bishop O'Connell's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-2. As for Benedictine, their win bumped their record up to 12-3-1.

Benedictine came up short against Bishop O'Connell when the teams last played back in September of 2015, falling 2-0. Can the Cadets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
