Volleyball Recap: Pulaski County Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Southwestern

Pulaski County faced Southwestern in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Maroons came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Maroons seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Pulaski County's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-5. As for Southwestern, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pulaski County will host Casey County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Maroons are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Southwestern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Jessamine at 6:00 a.m. on Friday.
