Softball Recap: Southeastern Triumphs

Southeastern posted their closest victory since April 23, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Hanceville Bulldogs 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on Saturday, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Mackenzie Hughes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Liliana Cassidy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Southeastern now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hanceville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

Southeastern didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-0 win against Cleveland on the 1st. As for Hanceville, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-1 victory against Susan Moore on the 3rd.
