Volleyball Game Preview: Acalanes Dons vs. Campolindo Cougars

Acalanes hasn't had much luck against Campolindo recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Dons will face off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Acalanes is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Northgate, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-17, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Campolindo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Las Lomas.

While Campolindo ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Campolindo's defeat dropped their record down to 18-17. As for Acalanes, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Acalanes might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Campolindo when the teams last played back in April. Can the Dons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
