The Bristol Eastern Lancers will head out to challenge the Glastonbury Guardians at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Bristol Eastern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.8 runs per game this season.

Bristol Eastern is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Rocky Hill, who was ranked 21st at the time (Bristol Eastern was ranked 25th). Having lost for the first time this season, Bristol Eastern fell to 7-1. As for Glastonbury, their record now sits at 3-6.

Glastonbury's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bristol Eastern has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Glastonbury, though, as they've been averaging 11 hits. Given Bristol Eastern's sizable advantage in that area, the Guardians will need to find a way to close that gap.
