Volleyball Recap: Havelock Takes a Loss

Havelock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the West Craven Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

Havelock started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Havelock still got an impressive performance from Kira Peak, who had 14 digs and two aces.

Havelock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for West Craven, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Havelock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Richlands on the 26th. As for West Craven, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against New Bern on the 26th.
