Basketball Recap: Oak Creek Knights vs. Franklin Sabers
On Thursday, the Oak Creek Knights's game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took down Franklin 48-34. The win was nothing new for Oak Creek as they're now sitting on three straight.
Franklin's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Capstran, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Capstran hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Meaux, who scored 11 points along with two blocks.
Oak Creek's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
Oak Creek will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Racine Case has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to challenge the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Racine Horlick is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
