Baseball Recap: Western Beaver Gets the Win

While Western Beaver's victory against Sewickley Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Beavers had just enough and edged out Sewickley Academy 12-10. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Golden Beavers, who until this game were averaging 3.8 runs allowed.

Benji Valdez was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Christian Stefankis, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
