Dock Mennonite is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Bristol is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Pioneers will host the Warriors at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Dock Mennonite barely beat Calvary Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pioneers were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Cougars on Tuesday.

Ethan Kratz and Brayden Kratz did most of the damage at the plate: Ethan went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs, while Brayden went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three hits gave Brayden a new career-high. Rylan Purnell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Dock Mennonite kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Calvary Christian Academy only managed five hits.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Bristol made sure to put some runs up on the board against Jenkintown on Tuesday. The Warriors blew past the Drakes 11-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Drakes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Trae Anthony made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Anthony was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Bristol let Dom Capriotti and Cole Guy run wild. Capriotti went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Guy went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Bristol is undefeated when Guy posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Eddy Diaz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Dock Mennonite's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Bristol, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dock Mennonite hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. However, it's not like Bristol struggles in that department as they've averaged .363. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dock Mennonite was able to grind out a solid win over Bristol in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 8-4. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
