Volleyball Recap: Oakman Takes a Loss

Oakman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hatton Hornets.

Oakman was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Hatton work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Oakman saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Annleigh Hagood had five digs and three aces. Hagood is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Oakman's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hatton, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Oakman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Addison on the 23rd. As for Hatton, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Cullman on the 23rd.
