Baseball Recap: Willow Spring Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Willow Spring can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 1-0 to the D.H. Conley Vikings, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Storm just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Willow Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for D.H. Conley, the win (which was their 21st in a row) raised their record to 23-1.

Willow Spring does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for D.H. Conley, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against New Hanover at 6:30 p.m. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
