Volleyball Recap: Franklin Road Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Goodpasture Christian on Tuesday, Franklin Road Academy came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Franklin Road Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 20-25, 25-23, 18-25, 15-11.

Defeat or not, Franklin Road Academy got some senior leadership from Savannah Sullivan and Cheyann Franklin. Sullivan had 29 digs, while Franklin had 14 digs and two aces. Sullivan is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

Franklin Road Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Franklin Road Academy will face off against Christ Presbyterian Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Summertown on the 23rd.
