            Football Recap: Christ the King Crusaders vs. Corvian Community Cardinals        
        
		
        
        
            If Christ the King was riding high  fresh off their  41-14 takedown of Pine Lake Prep last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders lost  26-0 to the Corvian Community Cardinals on Friday. The  matchup marked the first time this season in which the Crusaders were not able to get on the board.
 Jamison Ehret threw for 130 yards  on seven of 20 attempts.   Carter Stevens was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards.
 Corvian Community found their leader in freshman  Tyson Douglas-Brown, who rushed for 71 yards and one  score, and also threw for 138 yards and one  TD.
Christ the King's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 6-3. As for Corvian Community, their win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-1.
 Coming up, Christ the King will square off against Langtree Charter Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Crusaders will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.56  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Corvian Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
