Softball Recap: Anacortes Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

After losing to Ferndale the last time they met, Anacortes decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Seahawks came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 12-9 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Seahawks.

Anacortes pushed their record up to 6-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Ferndale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Anacortes is set to square off against their familiar foe Bellingham at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ferndale will take on rival Sehome at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
