            Serra Catholic dropped their record down to 4-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Jeannette Jayhawks by a score of  2-1. Having soared to a lofty 16  runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

 Kelly Morrissey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate, Serra Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Johanna Domek, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  RBI.
As for Jeannette, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.5 runs over those games.
 On Jeannette's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in:  Grace Stein gave up a  run (which was  unearned)  on four hits and racked up 15 Ks. Those 15  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for  Stein.
 Looking ahead, Serra Catholic will head out to  challenge Monessen  at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Jeannette, they will welcome Greensburg Central Catholic  at 3:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
