Basketball Recap: Webb City Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hillcrest

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Webb City walked away with it. They secured a 63-58 W over the Hillcrest Hornets on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-51 back in January.

Webb City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Pace, who shot 40% from the field to rack up 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Pace is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Travien Turner, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 19 points along with five assists and three steals.

Webb City was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They are 14-5 when they've passed the ball that well.

The win was the third in a row for Webb City, bringing their record for this year to 15-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points over those games. As for Hillcrest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.
