Basketball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Wins Going Away Against Carroll

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's tournament run continued when they took on Carroll on Friday. The Raiders blew past the Tigers 60-39. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Mason Lopez was his usual excellent self, shooting 67% from the field to rack up 26 points and five boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Casas, who posted 12 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 40-36 defeat against Clark on the 22nd. As for Carroll, they will head out on the road to face off against Los Fresnos at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
