Football Recap: Florence Falls to Hillcrest in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Florence unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillcrest Patriots on Friday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Falcons couldn't quite close it out.

Cade D Davis threw for 55 yards on eight of 12 attempts.

Hillcrest found their leader in sophomore Jacobi Harris, who rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florence will face off against Muscle Shoals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillcrest, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Sparkman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
