Volleyball Recap: Purvis Gets the Win

Purvis won the last time they faced D'Iberville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tornadoes walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Warriors.

Purvis not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept D'Iberville between 19 and 21 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21.

Olivia Lewis paced Purvis' offense, picking up seven kills. Lewis got some help from Presley Long and her 19 assists. Aubrey Easley controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Purvis' win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for D'Iberville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Purvis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Biloxi on the 16th. As for D'Iberville, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against St. Martin on the 19th.
