Recap: Tribe W Warriors vs. Faith Academy Knights
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Tribe W Warriors walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 70-67 win over Faith Academy on Friday. The victory was just what Tribe W needed coming off of a 47-20 defeat in their prior contest.
Faith Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jackson Dunn, who rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Dunn's longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. Another player making a difference was Travis Woodley, who gained 195 total yards and two touchdowns.
Tribe W's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Faith Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Tribe W will face off against East Texas Homeschool Sports at TBD on Friday. One thing working in East Texas Homeschool Sports' favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. Faith Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
