Baseball Recap: Whitewater Takes a Loss

The Whitewater Whippets didn't have quite enough to beat the Westby Norsemen on Saturday and fell 4-3.

Carson Petitt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two triples and two RBI.

Whitewater's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Westby, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitewater will host Delavan-Darien at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westby, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
