Softball Recap: Donegal Takes a Loss

If Donegal was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Manheim Central on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians fell just short of the Northern Lebanon Vikings by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Indians have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Nyah Gibbs made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Donegal's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Northern Lebanon, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Donegal and Northern Lebanon should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Indians (ranked 59th) will meet Eastern Lebanon County (ranked 279th) at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Northern Lebanon will take on Garden Spot at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (74 vs. 398).
