Carlos Guzman made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Luke Fox was a standout: he scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in all six of his plate appearances. Those five runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jackson McReynolds, who went 5-for-6 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
North Star pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glenns Ferry, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
