The Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against St. Mary's, falling 81-40. Niobrara/Verdigre has struggled against St. Mary's recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

St. Mary's found their leader in underclassman Ben Barlow, who scored 20 points. The game was Barlow's third in a row with at least ten points. Eli Banks was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 9 rebounds.
