Basketball Recap: Smiths Station Panthers vs. Oxford Yellow Jackets
Smiths Station extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were outmatched by the Oxford Yellow Jackets and fell 79-34. Those 22 points gave Wilson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was MiKynlei Mosley, who went 6-for-13 on her way to 12 points and three steals.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smiths Station will take on Dadeville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oxford, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Gadsden City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
