Football Recap: BRIAN WILLIAMS and Anthony (Deuce) Woods Jr. Secure Win for the First Academy

It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but The First Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 35-28 win over the Lakeland Dreadnaughts. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Royals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Dreadnaughts are ranked fifth).

A big part of The First Academy's win came down to the chemistry between Anthony (Deuce) Woods Jr. and his top target BRIAN WILLIAMS. Woods Jr. threw for 255 yards and three TDs while completing 90.5% of his passes while WILLIAMS picked up 58 receiving yards and a pair of scores. What's more, WILLIAMS posted two receiving touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August.

The First Academy moved to 5-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Lakeland, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 8-2 record.

As of now, neither The First Academy nor the Dreadnaughts have any future games scheduled.
