Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jayda Coriano and Kayla Coriano Lead Memorial to Victory

Memorial won the last time they faced McKinley and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trojans.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Memorial was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-6, 25-10.

Leading Memorial to victory were Kayla Coriano and Jayda Coriano. Kayla had seven digs and three aces, while Jayda had 11 aces. Those 11 aces gave Jayda a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Memorial was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 38 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for McKinley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-19.

Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McKinley, they will face off against Valley Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
