Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Friendship). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hammondsport Lakers 16-15. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Golden Eagles considering their two-run performance the game before.

Friendship's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Hammondsport, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Friendship will square off against Alfred-Almond at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Hammondsport, they will face off against Canisteo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
