While Alice's win against Miller wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Coyotes narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Buccaneers 3-2. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Alice took Miller into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 22-25, 15-7.

Alice's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Miller, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alice is set to square off against their familiar foe Corpus Christi Moody at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Miller will take on rival Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
