After a string of four wins, Sierra's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Reedley Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

Kinley Ferguson paced Sierra's offense, picking up four kills. Ferguson got some help from Brooke Gibson and her five assists.

Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 23-10. As for Reedley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-7-1 record this season.

Sierra didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Monache on the 20th. As for Reedley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Edison on the 20th.
