Volleyball Recap: Cedarcrest Takes a Loss

Cedarcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakewood Cougars.

Cedarcrest was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring zero points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0.

Lakewood was led to victory by Grace Saxton and Alivia Freeman. Saxton had 12 assists and two aces, while Freeman had seven assists and three digs. That's the most digs Freeman has posted since back in September.

Cedarcrest's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Lakewood, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 4-13 record.

Coming up, Cedarcrest will be playing in front of their home fans against Bothell/Inglemoor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakewood, they will venture away from home to take on Ferndale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
