Recap: Ripley Tigers vs. Dyersburg Trojans
The Ripley Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Dyersburg at home and fell 76-24. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ripley in their matchups with Dyersburg: they've now lost five in a row.
Dyersburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joya Crawford led the charge by scoring 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chelby Jordan, who scored 11 points.
Ripley's loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.2 points per game. As for Dyersburg, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
