It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fruita Monument can now relate to. They were beaten by the Ralston Valley Mustangs 63-28 on Saturday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Ralston Valley found their leader in sophomore Santana Sabus, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 15 boards. Ralston Valley is 7-2 when Sabus posts ten or more rebounds, but 6-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailey Townsend, who posted ten points.

Fruita Monument's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Ralston Valley, they moved to 13-11 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Fruita Monument does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ralston Valley, they will take on Pine Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Pine Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 matchups.
