Basketball Recap: Easton Fink's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Oakley over Thomas More Prep-Marian

Oakley lost against Thomas More Prep-Marian back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Oakley Plainsmen lost to the Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs on the road by a 70-52 margin.

Several Plainsmen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Easton Fink, who posted 15 points. Those 15 points gave Fink a new career-high. Mason Jackson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Oakley's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Oakley will challenge Wheatland-Grinnell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Great Bend at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Bend will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Thomas More Prep-Marian surely won't give up without a fight.
