Football Recap: Comeaux Comes Up Short

If Comeaux was riding high fresh off their 62-20 takedown of North Vermilion last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans were dealt a 63-10 loss at the hands of the St. Thomas More Cougars on Friday. The Spartans have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Comeaux's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for St. Thomas More, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Coming up, Comeaux will take on Northside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Thomas More, they will face off against Rayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.14 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
