Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Killingly). They breezed past the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats to the tune of 63-27 on Friday. The Trailbazers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Killingly's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quinn Sumner, who threw for 95 yards and three TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Joseph Mackie helped Sumner out on the ground, rushing for 51 yards and one score, while also catching one TD.

Killingly was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 252 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 252 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Hunter Allard, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Killingly's record now sits at 8-0. As for Norwich Free Academy, they moved to 4-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Killingly will venture away from home to face off against Waterford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Norwich Free Academy, they will host Windham at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
