Softball Recap: Carol City Takes a Loss

Carol City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 18-17 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northwestern Bulls. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 18-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Carol City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Northwestern, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Carol City will venture away from home to challenge Central at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwestern, they are taking a road trip to take on Goleman at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
