Softball Recap: Holly Pond Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Holly Pond and Cold Springs meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Holly Pond Broncos came up short against the Cold Springs Eagles, falling 16-6. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Holly Pond's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Cold Springs, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-8-1 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holly Pond will challenge Locust Fork at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up.
