Volleyball Game Preview: Abington Heights Comets vs. Valley View Cougars

The Abington Heights Comets are taking a road trip to challenge the Valley View Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Abington Heights can't be too worried about heading out to take on Valley View: they just beat Western Wayne at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. The Comets came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Abington Heights had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Valley View waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win.

Valley View's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Abington Heights, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.

Abington Heights took their victory against Valley View when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
