Basketball Recap: Connor Morehouse's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wesleyan over Landmark Christian

Wesleyan was the 58-38 winner over Landmark Christian when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Wesleyan Wolves lost to the Landmark Christian War Eagles on the road by a 60-43 margin on Friday.

Wesleyan lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Connor Morehouse, who posted 15 points along with six boards and three steals. That's the most steals Morehouse has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ralph Sanders, who had nine points.

It was another big night for Blake Pollock, who shot 5-for-9 from long range and dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds for Landmark Christian. Pollock's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Skylar Hamilton also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Wesleyan dropped their record down to 6-15 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Landmark Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Wesleyan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 66-59 loss against Mount Paran Christian on the 1st. Landmark Christian has also already played their next game, a 68-60 win against King's Ridge Christian on the 1st.
