Basketball Recap: Community Christian Comes Up Short

Community Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a hard 33-19 fall against the School of the Woods Wildcats.

Kadyn Miller was Community Christian's leading scorer, having posted six points.

School of the Woods' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kate Checo-Leckova, who posted four points and 18 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Checo-Leckova a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhea Fontana, who had nine points.

Community Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for School of the Woods, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Community Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-26 defeat against Good Samaritan HomeSchool on the 16th. School of the Woods and Pro-Vision Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. School of the Woods' defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so Pro-Vision Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
