 Lumberton has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Royal Falcons on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Lumberton had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand Livingston  a   4-0 shutout  on Tuesday. Give Lumberton's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
 They hit Livingston with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from 
 Andrew Hansen (2), 
 Santi Troncoso,  and 
 Luke Cody.
 Meanwhile, Royal had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 goals), and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Brahmans with a sharp  5-1 win. The  matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  4-0.
 Lumberton pushed their record up to 15-4-3 with that  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored 32  goals over those eight  matches. As for Royal, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 12 of their last 13 contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 12-8-3 record  this season.
 Lumberton came out on top in a nail-biter against Royal  in their previous meeting  back in March of 2023, sneaking past  1-0. Will Lumberton repeat their success,  or does  Royal have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
